Our Story

Uniquely, we are a successful seafood restaurant and art gallery that has been running since 2018. Our location in Pittenweem, on the harbourside of one of Scotland’s most important shellfish ports, means that we can incorporate the freshest seafood into our menus and lobsters, langoustines and crabs are landed less than 40 metres from our door.

Our Story

What Makes Us Special

Fife has bounty from its productive land and sea, and we always feature Fife vegetable and fruit produce, as well as game. We have a very decent-sized kitchen garden and produce herbs, vegetables, salads and fruit. We are expanding the kitchen garden each year and the use of local produce in order to celebrate the bounty of Fife and its seasonal rhythms.

Fresh & Local Produce

The quality of produce in Fife is down to amazing producers and suppliers: the fishermen who work out of Pittenweem, East Neuk Market Garden, David Lowrie, East Neuk Kilnhouse and East Neuk Salt Company in St Monans, J & B Cathcart in Pittenweem, East Neuk Seaweed, East Neuk Orchards in Arncroach, Penman’s Butchers in Crail and Raith Fruit in Kirkcaldy and Pittormie Farm by Dairsie. Two local breweries feature on our drinks’ menu: Ovenstone 109 and Loch Leven Brewery.

Susan McGill, Tim Cockburn, Georgie Young, Kirstie Behrens, David Smith, Hugh Michael Maxwell, Derrick Guild, Hilke Macintyre, Babs Pease, Sigrid Shone and Iain Macintosh also feature regularly across the Bistro.
